Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has some advantages, like its proximity to the Thai Embassy, making it convenient for visa applications. However, the overall condition of the rooms is quite poor, and the dining experience left much to be desired, with cold food and a lack of variety. If you're just looking for a quick stop for a visa run, it might be acceptable, but don’t expect a comfortable stay.
My stay was a mixed bag. While I found a good deal on the room with breakfast, the cleanliness left much to be desired, and the breakfast was often cold. Additionally, the location was quite a distance from the center, which made getting around a bit of a hassle. However, the strong water pressure in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise, and the bell staff were helpful when needed.
The hotel is an affordable option, especially for a short stay. Rooms vary in quality, and while I found my upgraded room to be clean and comfortable, the initial room I was shown was not acceptable at all. The location is far from the main attractions, but tuk-tuk rides are manageable. The breakfast could be greatly improved, but it filled me up for the day. Overall, it's a decent choice if you’re on a budget and need a place for a night or two.
My stay at La Ong Dao Hotel was a mixed bag. On the positive side, it's conveniently located near the Thai embassy, making it ideal for visa errands, and the hotel itself is a decent structure with some nice wooden decor. However, the rooms were not particularly clean, and my experience with breakfast was disappointing, as the options were often cold. Overall, it felt like good value for what I paid, but certainly not without its issues.
The hotel offers excellent value for money, especially with prices around 3,700 THB for four nights. While I appreciated the strong water pressure in the bathroom, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, with dust and unclean bed sheets. The breakfast selection was decent but served cold, which was disappointing. Overall, it had its highs and lows, making me uncertain about returning on my next visa run.
